It can support

  • Pelvic pain or a feeling of pelvic-floor weakness
  • Bladder leakage when you cough, laugh, run or lift
  • Pain with intercourse
  • Abdominal separation (diastasis recti)
  • Preparing for pregnancy and recovering after birth
  • Pelvic-floor changes around perimenopause and menopause

What a session looks like

  1. A private conversation

We talk through your history, your symptoms and what matters to you, at your pace.

  2. A careful assessment

Posture, breathing, the abdominal wall and pelvic-floor function, always explained first and only with your consent.

  3. A plan you can follow

Hands-on care, breathwork and exercise, plus a simple programme for home that fits your routine.

Pelvic-floor symptoms are common, and they are worth talking about. Many women live with leakage, pelvic pain or a sense of heaviness for years because it feels awkward to bring up, or because they assume it is simply part of having children or getting older. Specialised physiotherapy can often support these symptoms.

Teresa’s approach combines hands-on care with education and movement. The first step is understanding how your breath, your abdominal wall and your pelvic floor work together. From there, strength and control are rebuilt gradually, with exercises chosen for your body and your day.

Before and after pregnancy

Pregnancy and birth change how the body moves and how the pelvic floor works. Physiotherapy can help you prepare, and support your recovery afterwards: from abdominal separation and pelvic-floor strength to posture and getting back to the activities you enjoy. Sessions move at the pace your body needs.

Calm, private and paced for you

Sessions take place in private at Maison Santé. Everything is explained before it happens, in English or Spanish, and nothing is done without your consent.

If your symptoms are new, severe or getting worse, please see your doctor first.

Every plan starts with an individual assessment. This page is general information, not a diagnosis.

Techniques Teresa may use

  • Pelvic-floor rehabilitation
  • Breathwork and core coordination
  • Manual therapy and myofascial release
  • Therapeutic exercise and clinical Pilates
  • Posture and everyday-life strategies

Principles behind it

  1. Body awareness

Sensing how your body is positioned, how it moves and how it feels. Awareness creates movement; awareness creates change.

  2. Motor control

Movement is not just muscles. It is what the brain tells the muscles to do: when, how and how much.

  3. Breathing

Breathing adapts to every movement and is closely linked to posture and the autonomic nervous system. It is not about a “deeper” breath, but the right one.
