Sports rehabilitation

Return-to-sport rehab shaped by years of competitive rhythmic gymnastics, for weekend athletes and competitors alike.

It can support

  • Muscle and tendon injuries
  • Returning to sport after an injury
  • Managing training load
  • Mobility, strength and control for your sport

What a session looks like

  1. Your injury and your sport

An assessment of the injury and of the specific demands your sport places on your body.

  2. A staged plan

Clear phases with progressive loading, so you know what comes next and why.

  3. Back to what you love

Sport-specific progressions that rebuild confidence as well as capacity.

Teresa knows the demands of sport from the athlete’s side too. She spent years in competitive rhythmic gymnastics with Club Ábula-Gym in Ávila and competed at Spain’s national championship, a sport that asks for precision, control and a great deal of patience.

In clinic, she has worked with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, including with high-level athletes. Rehabilitation is staged and progressive: calming symptoms first, then rebuilding strength, control and coordination, and finally preparing for the specific demands of your sport.

Beyond the injury

Returning to sport is about confidence as much as tissue healing. Each phase has a clear purpose and a clear next step, so you understand your progress and can take an active part in it.

Every plan starts with an individual assessment. This page is general information, not a diagnosis.

Techniques Teresa may use

  • Progressive loading and therapeutic exercise
  • Manual therapy
  • Dry needling, when appropriate
  • Motor-control and coordination training

Principles behind it

  1. Motor control

Movement is not just muscles. It is what the brain tells the muscles to do: when, how and how much.

  2. Strength

Not just power: the capacity to meet everyday demands with control, resilience and confidence.

  3. Coordination

Not about one “perfect” way to move, but about organising, timing and adapting movement to the task.
